Shipping, Returns and Policies

Security: The Sea Lion Caves Web Store (dba. Sea Lion Caves, Inc.) is the online outlet for a family owned business operating a gift shop for 78 years. Our secure server software uses industry-standard SSL encryption technology, which is among the best software available to safeguard online transactions. SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypts, or encodes, your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address as it travels over the internet. With this technology, you enjoy more security when using your credit card for shopping at the SLC Web Store than when using it in many of your daily off-line transactions. If you prefer, you may also place your order by phone at 1.800.840.3112 (or 541.547.3111 outside of the U.S.) or by fax at 1.541.547.3545.

Shipping Policy: Orders are packaged with earth friendly biodegradable loose-fill. This material is starch based and non toxic, static free, reusable and compostable. We may also use other clean recycled or reusable packaging materials as available.

Shipping Methods: We offer two shipping methods — Standard and Express

Standard Delivery: Orders placed by 11am ET will be delivered in the contiguous U.S. within 7 business days for most in-stock merchandise. In the event of a delay, you will be notified by mail. Orders may be shipped by a variety of carriers, and items ordered together may not necessarily be shipped together. Shipments to P.O. Boxes will be sent via Parcel Post. Some products require additional shipping time and are shipped by truck only within the contiguous U.S., as noted on the product page. You (or the recipient) will be contacted by the shipping company to arrange for a convenient delivery date.

# For Alaska, Hawaii, and other U.S. territories, add $5.00. For Canada and Mexico, add $10.00.

# Shipments outside of the contiguous U.S., Express Delivery, and oversized items will also require additional charges.

# Orders shipping to more than one address will incur a separate shipping and handling charge for each destination.

Express Delivery: For an additional $15, Express orders placed by 11am ET will be delivered in the contiguous U.S. in 2 business days for most in-stock merchandise. Posters shipped Express require up to 4 business days. We cannot offer express delivery to P.O. Boxes.

Oversized Items: Oversized items, many of which include bulky or heavy furniture

International Shipments:
# Most products can be shipped to international addresses.

# Delivery time should take 5 - 7 business days to reach your country provided that there are no unforeseen delays in Customs.

# Orders outside the continental United States are shipped via a traceable international carrier.

# Recipient is responsible for all applicable customs duties, tariffs, taxes or Value Added Tax (VAT), which are collected by the carrier upon delivery.

# Some oversized or White Glove items cannot be shipped to an international address.

# Shipping rates are calculated based on the value of the order (see shipping rates above).

Return Policy: Your satisfaction is our goal. Please inspect your order upon delivery. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please return the merchandise within 30 days for an exchange or refund in the form of original payment. Gift recipients will receive a merchandise credit in the form of a SLC Gift Card. Please note:

# The item returned must be in its original packaging in salable condition.

# If your merchandise arrives damaged, please contact Customer Service immediately.

# Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Cancellation Policy: Items purchased may be cancelled without charge to the customer before the order is shipped. After shipping, the order is subject to the terms of the Return Policy. Shipping and handling for return will be at the customer expense.

Sales Tax: There is no state or federal taxes added to your order.
